  • The subjunctive tense in Spanish is used to present a hypothetical situation or a wish.

  • It is brought about by changing the end of a verb and making sure it accommodates the

  • subject they are addressing.

- Hello! Yes, to begin there are two types of diabetes, type one and type two. In general, diabetes is a disease associated with blood sugar.

What effects could that have on my health?

- Well, depending on the person, it can have various effects. For example, one can develop nerve damage.

What do you suggest I do to minimize the risk of getting those effects?

- I recommend that you check the sugar levels in your blood every  now and then. In addition to maintaining a diet with as many fruits and vegetables as you can, I also suggest that you sleep eight hours every night.
