International Relations
International relations works to bridge the gap between the people of Mexico and those who can help them. The team is focused on cultural awareness, specifically with lessons of practical Spanish. IR's main goal is to extend FISH's outreach in Mexico by providing as much aid and as much information as possible.
Elizabeth Franco
Elizabeth is from Oakley, a small town in Northern California, quite the opposite of metropolitan LA. She joined FISH Winter quarter of Freshman year as a way to gain some more hands-on medical experience and just do some good in less-privileged areas. Now as an director, she says she has only grown to love the organization more as she has helped work the behind-the-scenes stuff and gained more appreciation towards everyone's hard work in the club. Elizabeth's major is pre-health and psychology with a potential Public Health Minor. She is hoping to attend nurse practitioner school and work in pediatrics. Outside of school, Elizabeth loves music and enjoys taking advantage of the wide variety of concerts around LA. She also likes going to the beach, watching sporting events on campus, and going thrift shopping in Santa Monica. In her free time, she loves eating and photography, as well as trying to become decent on guitar.
