Development
The Development team's primary goal is to find funding for FISH so as to minimize the cost that FISH members must pay in order to carry out the free services that FISH provides in Mexico. This is done through organizing fundraisers, writing letters for donations, applying for grants, and holding an annual fundraising Gala. The Development team is consistently searching for new ways to provide funding as FISH hopes to expand to provide more free services to more people. Any inquiries regarding donations, sponsorship, or any way to help the Development team can be sent to Max Liu at development.fish.ucla@gmail.com
Max Liu

Director of Development
Max is a fourth year majoring in Psychobiology. He is originally from Connecticut, but has also lived in China and Germany. He joined FISH during his junior year and started out on the Development team. Now he is very excited to be its director. By providing the local residents with health screenings and educating them about healthy living and eating habits, he has gained a deeper understanding of how local economic and social powers affected the health outcome of the region’s population.
Other than FISH, he is involved with UCLA Mobile Clinic Project and provides free health, social, and legal services to the homeless population in West Hollywood. He is also currently conducting research on Alzheimer’s disease at the David Geffen School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying out new foods. After he graduates from UCLA, he hopes to pursue a combined MD/PhD combined degree.
