Christian Frese
Christian is a fourth-year Psychobiology major at UCLA. He first joined FISH in his Sophomore year and since then has grown to understand and appreciate the positive impact that undergraduates can make on an underserved community through their hard work and consistency. He finds FISH's greatest strength to be its commitment to the community of Maclovio Rojas and its continued presence there with bi-monthly trips. He hopes to see FISH expand significantly this year and in both locations served and services provided.
While not involved with FISH projects or trips, Christian is also involved with the UCLA Mobile Clinic and works with the homeless and poverty-level populations in the Greater Los Angeles area. In addition, he performs research on schizophrenia through a surface-mapping and volumetric analysis approach. Christian is also on the UCLA Cycling Team and especially enjoys riding in the Santa Monica Mountains northwest of campus. After graduation, he plans to go to medical school to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor.
