Chief Executive Assistant
Bryant Torres
Bryant is completing his last quarter as a UCLA undergrad majoring in
Physiological Science. The 2011-2012 school year marks his third year
in FISH. He began as a member of Development, was then Director of
Training, and now is proud to be serving as the Chief Executive
Assistant. His interest and passion in FISH has only grown throughout
the past three years. He has been able to work alongside various
members, and leaders to further the mission of FISH. He believes that
FISH is a unique opportunity for UCLA students in that it allows
members to be a part of not only a student group, but a 501 (c) (3)
non profit organization that is able to go to a foreign country,
provide needed services and cause meaningful change in peoples lives
all in one day. He has plans for a career in the medical field, and
hopes to be able to cause meaningful change in healthcare. Currently
he is considering becoming a physician and attending medical school,
but also believes that a career in Public Health, Health Policy, and
Health Administration may be paths he ventures into.
In addition to FISH, Bryant also works for the UCLA Division of
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He assists with the coordinating and data management of clinical trials investigating new treatments for patients with Pulmonary Hypertension and various other lung diseases. When not focusing on FISH or work, he likes to take time to catch up with past FISH members and various other friends. He enjoys
discovering new restaurants throughout the city, and enjoys experiencing the cultural goldmine that is Los Angeles.
